Real Street Festival kicked off for the first time ever at the Honda Center in Anaheim. The inaugural event was stacked with some of the top hip-hop artists. Inside the Honda Center was a West Coast Customs Car Show presented by Big Boy’s Neighborhood.
There are two stages, separated by a VIP section. Set times were scheduled so attendees could catch every single artist. Food and drink spots were all over the festival grounds making it incredibly easy to grab a bite and not miss any of the action. Everything ran impeccably smooth. Things can only get better, considering this is just the first year for Real Street Festival.
Fans came to rage. There wasn’t a single lull during sets. Many of the artists hopped off the stage and interacted with the crowd on a more personal level including Gashi, KYLE, Saweetie, and Flipp Dinero. It was controlled chaos in the greatest way possible.
Megan Thee Stallion was a crowd favorite. There’s no denying her star like qualities, and you could feel it as she performed. She smashed through her top hits “Big Ole Freak”, “Cash Shit”, and “Hot Girl Summer”. Cardi B shut it down as well. She even dropped by the Honda Center and surprised the people cooling off with a quick interview. Cardi knows how to have fun, and she shows that best on stage. Her personality really shines through. Plus the crowd couldn’t get enough of her! She also popped out during the Migos’ set right after a quick change.
The most anticipated moment was the wait for A$AP Rocky to perform. This was his first performance since being released and everybody came out to support him. A white curtain veiled the stage during the first song. A strong silhouette was all you saw at first. There’s not an accurate way to describe the crowd’s screams once the curtain fell, revealing Flacko. He hopped up on a riser while in true Testing theme his crew, dressed like test car dummies, jumped behind him. This moment was special, not only for the fans, but for him as well. He noted how incredibly grateful he was to get back to doing what he loves. Flacko brought out Tyler, the Creator, ASAP Ferg, and YG. It was truly a memorable homecoming performance.
We hope Real Street Fest returns next year. Keep up to date on any future plans via their socials here. Keep your eyes locked on 1 AM for updates as they get announced.
